Firmware Version Finder Tool v1.2 By MFDL Free Download

Firmware Version Finder Tool v1.2 by MFDL is a small but very useful utility for mobile technicians, flashers, and repair users. It helps you find the exact firmware version and release details from flash or dump files when that information is missing or unclear.

Many times, we receive a flash file or dump but don’t know which firmware version it belongs to. Checking this manually using tools like HXD or Notepad++ can be slow, tiring, and difficult—especially with large files. This tool solves that problem in a fast and easy way.

The Firmware Version Finder works on a similar idea to the “Find All” option in Notepad++, but it is more focused on firmware data and much smarter. You just select the flash folder, enter the device model code, and click search. The tool scans all files and shows all firmware version tags in one place.

Extra Notes

This tool can work with partial dumps and extracted flashes. Large partitions like system or super are not required. In many cases, firmware and model information is stored in small sectors, and this tool reads them correctly.

The tool is currently about 50% complete, so more improvements may come in future updates. Possible upgrades include better threading, faster processing of large files, and skipping unnecessary patterns. Even now, the tool works smoothly and does exactly what it is designed for.

Changelog – Firmware Version Finder Tool (Latest Update)

Fixed File Size Limit Issue

Earlier versions could not read files larger than 50MB, as this was only a test limit. This limit has now been removed. The tool can now handle very large files, even up to 100GB, without any issue.

Improved Large File Processing

The tool now scans large files smoothly and quickly. Unlike Notepad++, which may freeze with files above 2GB, this tool processes big files without crashing.

Skipped Unimportant Patterns

Minor and useless patterns are now ignored. This makes the results cleaner and more accurate.

Improved Search Logic

The search system now focuses more on real firmware tags and device-related strings, making the output more useful for flashing and repair work.
